As COVID-19 gained momentum, major global cities implemented travel restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19 and closed airports to incoming international traffic. A group of U.S., Canadian and European veterinary students, dispersed in different locations around the Caribbean, needed a way off the island and a flight home. With a lack of direct flights, as well as flight reductions and cancellations to and from the islands, getting them home was going to be a challenge.
