Finding a Provider and Planning Your Visit
Key considerations when choosing a provider:
- Use the provider search to find in-network providers
- Choose Premium Care providers if possible
- When making an appointment, confirm the provider participates in the UnitedHealthcare Options PPO network
- Always present your Henner/UnitedHealthcare ID card to the provider
- Using providers that do not participate in the UnitedHealthcare network may result in having to pay up front
- Pre-authorization is required for any elective hospitalization admissions. Please contact your Henner Client Services Team.
When you visit your doctor, hospital or other health care provider, remember to show them your Henner/UnitedHealthcare ID card so they know how to bill for the services they are providing you.
Doctor / Hospital Visit
During this visit, your primary doctor will assess your:
- Health history
- Medical records
- Provide preventive and routine care
- Manage your medications
- Refer you to a specialist, if necessary
Pharmacy Visit
Your prescribing physician may send your prescription to the pharmacy electronically or you may receive a paper prescription. At the pharmacy:
- Show your Henner/UnitedHealthcare ID card with the OptumRx logo to receive cashless service
- For high dollar medications, the pharmacy may require notification or pre-authorization from your physician
Dentist Visit
During this visit, your dentist will:
- Assess your health history
- Provide preventive and routine dental care
- Refer you to a specialist, if necessary
