Jeff Kagan serves as Vice President, Product and Services for UnitedHealth International. In this capacity he is responsible for leading key development and production areas within UHI, including product, pricing, and market research. All aspects of product development and management fall under Jeff’s area of responsibility.
In the employee benefits business for over 40 years, Jeff started his career in Group Actuarial at MetLife, a legacy company of UnitedHealth Group. During his tenure at MetLife Jeff served in numerous capacities including Manager of Administration and Mid Size Case Director. He also served as Director of the Atlanta and Mid Atlantic Customer Business Units. In these latter capacities he had multi-product line responsibility for all financial and administrative matters related to the large group customers in those regions.
Jeff moved to the Actuarial/Finance area as part of the transition to MetraHealth and then UnitedHealth Group. He was Vice President of MetLife’s indemnity medical company and worked on the integration with Travelers. He then served in various capacities in UnitedHealth Group including Director of Rating, Director of Uniprise Actuarial, Vice President and Board Member of United Healthcare Insurance Company of New York, Vice President and Board Member of Unimerica Life Insurance Company of New York, Vice President of United Healthcare Service Corp, Vice President Customer Financial Solutions, Uniprise (now UnitedHealthcare National Accounts) with overall responsibility for pricing, underwriting and financial reporting for the nationwide book of business. Most recently, Jeff served as Product Champion within United Essentials, where he led development of several innovative product solutions.
